Updating hackintosh to 10 5 5 speed dating in wisconsin
It said: “Failed to load extension com.apple.driver.Apple AHCIPort” “Couldn’t alloc class Apple ICH8AHCI” “Couldn’t alloc class Apple AHCI” Anyone know what’s this mean ?I saw the time clock still running on the top right corner. I did a research and read that I should replace the Apple (dont remember exactly how to spell it : D ) so I did and it generated an error about improperly install during my second upgrade to 10.5.3 and this fucked the whole thing. And this time, I used the kalyway 10.5.2 combo update.and when i pressed the power button it asked me if i want to restart, sleep or shutdown. After the installation and boot, everything worked fine including my mouse pad and keyboard …hooorayyyy…..: D OK, but I need to upgrade to 10.5.3 so that I could install the current i Phone SDK.But this time, kalyway 10.5.3 combo update didn’t do it for me.now I have to reinstall the whole thing again (like usual : D ) I traced the issue during boot.
But there is no full guide who describes how to update 10.5.1 to 10.5.4. Upgrade 10.5.1 to 10.5.2 Update 10.5.3 to 10.5.4 Just start the Apple Softwareupdate, download and install the 10.5.4 update. If you’ve any problems write a comment and I’ll help you!
Everytime I tried to open a Get Info screen, Finder would crash. What I ended up doing was booting into the install DVD, then opening up Terminal under the Utilities menu and editing the file in there. I followed your steps i had kalway 10.5.1 installed on a dell latitude D620 it loads fine when i updated to 10.5.2 by following your steps it restarted and ten restarted again and was updated I tried to update to the kalyway 10.5.3 comboupdate and follow the same steps but there was no Apple Intel CPUPower in the /System/Library/Extensions/ and there was no /System/Library/Extensions/Dont Steal Mac OS on eather time i looked for it but I did notice that it already said /System/Library/Extensions/on the first update but the second neather one of those was listed when i tried to do the 10.5.3 update.
I used: “/Volumes/Leopard/usr/bin/vi /Volumes/Leopard/System/Install At Startup/scripts/1” A bit involved… So I left everything alone and rebooted it goes to the apple logo on window with the circle turning under the apple and once it tries to go past that I just get a black screen. I succeeded install the upgrade to 10.5.2 and boot into desktop but i can’t move my mouse or even my keyboard. I used them on my laptop and they worked fine : D (it’s wierd leopard 10.5.2 doesn’t recognize my laptop’s mouse pad and keyboard).
So I’m holding out against 10.5.4 until a Kalyway update is available.
I tried using this method to upgrade from 10.5.2 to 10.5.3 and now I’m getting a kernel panic at startup: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x0040352B): “8259-PIC: register Interrupt failed”@/Volumes/disk1s2/leo_xnu/xnu-1228/iokit/Kernel/IOLib.cpp:724 Does this have to do with me having a SSE2 computer?
